It Lives #1 is published by Sparkplug Comicbooks. Originally it was a self published mini. The new version has a nicer cover stock but has the same interior contents.

It Lives is a mini-comic by Ted May. This book features the first two parts of the continuing soap-opera saga "Help Me Understand Your World". It features torrid romance, scathing misanthropy, punk rock and vandalism.

Also featured in the book is the all-out fight comic "Toilet Battle" in which two monstrous individuals work out strong negative feelings for each other - fists first! Punch in face now, ask questions later seems to be the gist of this tale.

The final story herein is called "Monster Mask." It is an unpublished gem drawn in 1998. "Monster Mask" is a satirical take on the 50's style scientist-driven comics. This tale features awesome power, psychological mayhem, thoughts of lust and an archaeological dig gone awry!

This comic book is energetic, powerful, fun, and real! The primary mode is magical realism as only a comic book can do it.

I Like Comics

"Absolute fresh cartooning with hallucinatory blending of the iconic and commonplace, happening inside the pages of It Lives. One of my favorite recent mini-comix."
— Mark Cunningham
The Atomic Blue Ribbon Flyer

"Superheroes and kaiju abound in the fluid reality of these comics. More entertaining than comprehensible but the dialogue in "Toilet Battle" borders on genius."
